Position Summary

The Business Systems Analyst in the Merchandise Supply Chain department will assist in the development and maintenance of the business processes, systems and procedures as they relate to the business functions, goals and values of the department. The duties include, but are not limited to review, analyze and evaluate business systems, processes and user needs in order to formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Position Description

* Work with business area users to identify opportunities and resolve problems
* Conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, business/project requirements, systems design, development and implementation requirements in order to assist in the preparation of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents and other Project Plan Documents
* Coordinate system and application installation and upgrades to avoid disruption of existing activities and ensure a smooth transition
* Work with business area users to identify reporting needs and assist in the development of required reports
* Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications

* Bachelors degree desirable or a minimum of two years of related work experience
* Operations or Supply Chain Management, or Information Systems focus preferable
* A good understanding of work class supply chain business practices Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
* High level of computer literacy with spreadsheets, database software and/or business systems
* Ability to understand concepts governing relational database structures, reporting/query tools and constructing SQL statements
* MS Project, VISIO, VB and other graphic software proficiency preferred
* Well developed communication, negotiation and analytical skills
* Excellent project management, leadership, facilitation and organizational skills
* Strong analytical skills
